2008 Classes & Clubs

Please join us in our new classroom.

Thimbleberries Club meets the first and second week of the month. Please check our calendar for dates. This year's quilts are gorgeous and there is something for everyone. Lynette has designed two color ways, Lodge (Dark - brown, red and green) and Lakeside (Light - Blue, cherry and green) one large project and four small quilts. Club fee includes the four individual patterns (Lakeland Pines, Bear Paw Runner, Forest Bloom, and Woodland Stars), instructions for the large quilt, twelve monthly newsletters and twelve additional projects. Thimbleberries club members also receive priority reservations (and special pricing) for Thimbleberries camp in 2008. Lynette is planning to return to camp.

Club Fee: $60.00 If you would like to sign up, please complete the enrollment blank and send in with your check.

PREMIER CLUB

Log Cabin Patchworks offers our premier club to everyone. Premier Club entitles you to a 10% discount on ALL quilting supplies, special sales, and other perks. In 2008 we will be starting "PC" items. These items will vary month to month. Look for the "PC" stickers and receive an additional 10% discount. Premier Club members also pay less ($50.00 - regularly $60.00) for sewing machine repairs. We also offer sales for Premier club members only.

Yearly fee - $15.00. Receive a 15% discount on quilting supplies the day you join.

MODA CLUB

This year's MODA club is a MYSTERY quilt. The quilt size is 66" x 76" (Borders could easily be added to make the quilt larger) The blocks are both appliquéd and pieced and are designed by their different fabric designers. The club includes the patterns for the quilt and additional projects. The kits are made entirely of MODA fabric.

Club Fee: $50.00

BITS AND PIECES

This is for the doll quilt lover in all of us! We will be making sweet and simple quilts for decorating, gift giving, and so much more! The book contains eighteen projects that primarily uses fat quarters, fat eights and scraps. The club includes the Bits and Pieces book and there will also be some extra projects. Kits will be available or you can use your scraps. This club will meet the third Friday of the month.

Club Fee: $50.00

BLOCK OF MONTH PROJECTS

No Rule Block of the Month

Once again there are NO RULES for this Block of Month. The blocks are 10" ad there are two color ways to choose from - Bright and Fun or Thimbleberries. Come in anytime of the month and pick up your kits. You do not have to show us a finished block, and if you miss a month we do not care. Your kit will be here for you.

Each block is $3.00 month (cash includes tax) or $2.00 month for Premier Club members.

Jamestown Sampler Quilt from Marti Mitchell

We are completing Marti's quilt using civil war fabrics from Marcus Brothers. There are twelve different 12" pieced blocks ($5.00/month).. The quilt is set with log cabin blocks and is 82" x 1106". We will offer finishing kits for the log cabin blocks and borders. We will also have Marti Mitchell's template sets available. There are a limited number of these kits available.

The 2007 Block of Month Batik quilt is shown below. Directions are available at the shop. A 13th block is needed to complete.

NEW FOR 2008 - ORNAMENT A MONTH

Come in the first of each month to see the "Ornament of the Month." The kits are $5.00 each. Each month there will be a new ornament kit featuring different techniques. January's ornament is a stocking made from an antique quilt. Each kit will contain everything you need to complete the ornament. Collect all 12!

For All Classes:

Pre-registration is necessary - Class size is limited.

Full payment is required upon registration.

If you must cancel a class, it MUST be canceled more than seven days in advance to receive a full refund. We are sorry, but there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.

All classes begin at 10:00 A.M. unless otherwise noted. The shop opens at 9:30 A.M. on class days, so you can arrive early, set up and be ready to sew at 10:00 A.M. We request that ALL cell phones be turned off during classes.

Returns:
There will be NO returns on books, patterns, or fabric. Fabric may be returned if damaged (before washing). All returns must be accompanied with a Log Cabin receipt within seven days. Exchanges or store credits only.
